Physiotherapy is used to treat injuries of the muscles, tendons and ligaments, including acute sprains or strains and chronic overuse injuries. Often referred to as repetitive stress injuries, overuse conditions are very common in today’s society and include carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, plantar fascitis, rotator cuff problems, and tendonitis. They tend to occur from micro-trauma from long days spent sitting at a desk and computer or repeated motions on the job. The repetitive stress slowly damages the tissue, manifesting in pain, swelling, tingling, numbness, or weakness.
Our practice utilizes many forms of Physiotherapy including Ultrasound, Interferential Current, Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Spinal Traction, Neuromuscular Re-education, Proprioceptive Neuro Facilitation (PNF), Custom Orthotics, and Kinesiotaping.
