Dr. Cindy Perkins, DC, MBA, founder of Back In Health Wellness Center, traces her journey to the healing arts back to her roots in Minnesota. A multi-spot athlete growing up, she experienced a pivotal moment during her track days when an injury led her to a chiropractor, sparking a curiosity which later became a passion for the field.
She pursued her undergraduate studies at Northwestern College and Minnesota State University, followed by a dedicated focus on chiropractic education at Northwestern College of Chiropractic. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, she later earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
In 2007, Dr. Perkins realized her dream by establishing Back In Health Wellness Center, a haven for comprehensive wellness and chiropractic care. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in a diverse range of certifications, including Acupuncture, Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology, Webster Certification for pregnancy care, and ongoing pursuits in postural education expertise and Functional Medicine.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Perkins actively engages with her community, contributing to initiatives like Relay For Life, Susan G Komen 3 Day Walk, and the Congenital Heart Foundation Heart Walk. She served as the esteemed Guv’na of Lutz in 2014/2015, showcasing her dedication to community leadership.
Family is at the heart of Dr. Perkins’ life. She is a proud mother to two sons, 17-year-old Lyndon and 3-year-old Lennox, and shares her home with two beloved Morkies, Gretchen and Otis. An avid sports enthusiast, she revels in football, tailgating, and never misses a home Buccaneers game. Dr. Perkins also indulges her culinary passion and finds cooking to be a relaxing hobby, even when cooking for dozens of people.
Dr. Cindy loves treating patients of all ages, so that her work is never monotonous. She finds joy in creating a warm, healing environment for her patients, and helping to facilitate them living happier and healthier lives.
